Memorize Sūrah al-Mulk with me!
Dear friends, there is a special Sūrah in the Qur’ān which has so many benefits. It not only protects us in this life but it will also. be with us in the grave and help us in the Hereafter as well. It will be our companion in the grave, will protect the reciter and saves a person from the punishment of Allāh ﷻ and it also will intercede for our forgiveness. It is Sūrah al-Mulk, the 67th chapter in the Qur’ān. This Sūrah emphasizes our relationship with Allāh ﷻ and is one that can strengthen our Imān
Abdullah bin Mas‘ud narrates that, “whoever recites Sūrah al-Mulk every night, Allāh ﷻ will prevent the punishment of grave by this Surah”. [Nasā'ī]
In another narration our beloved Prophet ﷺ said, “Indeed there is a Sūrah in the Qur’ān of thirty Ayāt, which intercedes for a person until they are forgiven. It is [Sūrah] Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk.” [Tirmidhī]
This blessed sūrah only has 30 verses, if we memorized one āyah a day, by the end of the month, we would have the whole Sūrah memorized. What’s a better month to memorize the Qur’an than in Ramadān?!
Join me everyday as we go one āyah at a time and work on memorizing. Take the time and effort to understand the meaning of each verse. Allāh ﷻ send down this magnificent Qur’ān for us to connect with, reflect upon, understand, memorize and implement in our lives [12:2]
